Questions asked of me:
1.Whats your favorite day of the week?
This is probably usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I realize this probably sounds so super cliche, but seriously, this is when I get typtically uninterupted time for two things: time with the hubby, and craft time (of course!!!0
2.Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Is it just me, or are all these questions super hard?? Haha, wow. Ok, seriously though I would say I am a super huge night owl with one exception- when it is summer and I want to run before it gets deathly hot- I have been known to get up between 6:30-7:30am just to get it in.
3.What is your favorite hobby, other than blogging?
Well I blog about crafting, so definitely that. But if we want to go beyond a little I must say running and intense excercise. I wouldn't say I am obsessed or a health freak, but I definitely do my best to keep the little body frame of mine looking its best :)
4.What is one of your healthy habits?
I guess I already answered this one, didn't I? Running is definitely my favorite. I really started it as one of those non-challant things. And you are probably thinking.. running is not nonchallant! Well I started C25K with the app on my phone back in Spring of 2011 and just kept telling myself that I wanted to see how far I could get but really doubted I'd ever go any further with it. Well- I did and even sometimes manage to blog about it (@ tinythunderrunning)
5.What is one of your bad habits you'd like to kick?
Not getting enough sleep is definitely a bad habit that I should kick. It's not always a problem, but I think more than it should be.
6.Do you have a favorite season?
Definitely FALL :). I knew when we were picking a wedding date, that it would be the fall. I love the crispness, the color, the leaves, and just the cooler weather. So much easier to run 5ks and other distances when the weather doesn't make you want to pass out!
7.What do you blog about?
At this blog, primarily my crafting adventures. Ironically, it started out as a manifestation of someone telling me I should chronicle all the scrapbooking work I do. (and by work, I mean stuff I do for myself and family) As I delved into the craft blog world and my obsession with pinterst grew I eventually have been posting a huge varieties of crafts and lately even some organization shenanigans.
8.What is your favorite childhood memory?
Definitely vacations. Every year around the 4th of July, my family would pack up with our miniature schnauzer in tow and head to the beach. We stayed in a nice trailor home park about 10-15 minute drive from the beach that a family friend owned. It wasn't the hilton but it was kind of like home and allowed us to stay in budget and make some meals rather than always eating out. Lots of fun years!!
9.Do you have road rage?
Haha. I laugh because sometimes I really do. Especially when older drivers take 5 days to turn the corner and I am trying to just get to work on time. Also, when people are in the passing lane and aren't even going the speed limit- well ok, people who don't go the speed limit, or barely do irk the heck out of me. Just sayin!
10.Do you enjoy cooking? If so whats your favorite recipe?
I mostly enjoy cooking. This sometimes is a struggle at my house because I eat a variety of foods including veggies, fish, and different ethnic foods. Hubby's tastes aren't so broad and he is allergic to onions. Crazy right? So we have to adapt or avoid a lot of things all together. But cooking a good meal and especially grilling are my favorites!
11.How many blog post do you get out week?
I try to regularly post throughout the week and sometimes on a Saturday or Sunday. In a perfect world 5-6 posts per week, but we all know life happens :)
So you really want to know 11 more things about me?
1- I met my husband way back in 6th grade, where he (so he says) fell in love with me... I of course ignored him almost until we were out of high school.. OOOPS
2- I love grilling excessive amounts of veggies on the grill in the summer and making white rice to go with it- then pouring soy sauce on top.. YUM!
3- I still love hanging out with my mom and dad. I have always loved time with my parents dearly and I think it is becoming even more special as I have seen my grandparents pass away one by one. I think for me these deaths have been so painful because they fast-forward me into panic thinking about the day my parents will no longer be here.
4- I have one sibling, my sister. She is 3.5 years older than me and although we have had times where we didn't speak much (mostly because she left for college and this was before email and facebook and texting was as crazy popular and accessible) I love her to death and do not know where I would be without her. She also has 3 handsome boys who I love to death as well. They melt my heart.
5- I have 3 best friends that I met in high school and we still keep touch. We don't get together as often as we'd like but have fun when we do. Every year we have this funny tradition that we affectionately call PTDP which stands for Post-turkey-day-pancakes. We meet up at a local hot spot Fay's country Kitchen and get breakfast the weekend after Thanksgiving. In college this served as our way to reconnect while we were home since our breaks rarely lined up.
6- Crafting for me is a huge stress reliever and when I feel too stressed to do much anything else, slipping into the world of creativity always helps.
7- I love to drink coffee, tea, and wine.
8- I love visiting local wineries and supporting the small businesses. I'd rather pay a little more (most of the time) to support a small, often family run, business.
9- Pretty obsessed with pinterest. Need I say more? You can follow me @ j0dalee.
10- I hate twitter and will never be bothered with it. I don't really get the point and don't really think I really care to?
11- I am a Mary Kay consultant and although I just started I am trying to get my name out there and share the wonderful products that we represent. I have used many things on my skin in the past and haven't been too excited. I have weird skin that is allergic to peroxide and I have had many issues in the past. These products really have settled my skin and taken away the red tone that I have been told in the past might be a mild Rosacea. If you want to learn more- hit me up :) also my site is http://www.marykay.com/jstuber
